How Barb Got Her Groove Back

We had to put our wonderful puppy, Levi, down right after we got back from vacation. More than a pet, Levi was a member of the family and losing him really knocked me for a loop. On Sunday afternoon I realized that I needed to do something to start moving again. There's nothing that gets me kick-started like making something pretty. I don't know what I'll use these fabrics for, but they make me happy.

It seems incongruous to comment on both Levi's death and the fabrics...but I can see the link you've made and I hope it works for you.

Levi: I'm thinking of you and your feelings of loss and sorrow. It must be hard to allow yourself the time to grieve, and yet to continue on with life in a way which doesn't deny the sadness.

Fabrics: I love the subtlety of the colors and shades. I'd like to read more about how you make them - I'm completely ignorant..is there a place on the web I can go?

Hi Barb,
Thanks for your comment about my transfer quilt using the TAP. I just had to check out your blog. I share the loss of your sweet dog. He certainly deserves your grief. Good for you to create some beatuiful fabrics to help overcome your sadness. Are these sun dyed fabrics? They are gorgeous. If so, what kind of paint did you use? What made the squares fabric? Looking forward to your reply!
